QWF Literary Prizes Awarded at Lion d'Or Ceremony
On November 22, 2011, the Quebec Writers' Federation held its annual Awards Gala at the Lion d'Or in Montreal. The event was hosted by Kaie Kellough. Six literary prizes, a Community Award, and the 3Macs carte blanche Prize, and the winners and honorary mentions of the 2011 Quebec Writing Competition were presented.

About the QWF Literary Awards
The Quebec Writers' Federation holds an annual juried competition for published books by Quebec authors in six categories: fiction, non-fiction, poetry, first book, translation, and children's and young adult literature. In November of each year, the QWF awards six prizes of $2000 each to honour excellence in each category. The call for submissions to the 2012 QWF Literary Awards will be announced in April 2012.
