On November 22, 2006, the Quebec Writers' Federation held its annual Awards Gala at the Lion d'Or in Montreal. The event was hosted by Anne Lagacé Dowson, of CBC's "Radio Noon."

Quebec Arts Summit
The 2004 Gala was also the launch of the Quebec Arts Summit, with more than one hundred English-language artists — writers, musicians, visual artists, actors, filmmakers, theatre people and dance professionals — from across the province gathering in Montreal for a three day meeting that promises to set a new course for the province's English-language artists. The Summit is hosted by the Quebec Writers' Federation with the support of the Department of Canadian Heritage, Canada Council for the Arts and Telefilm Canada.
